KCWY Casper Wyoming:

KCWY broadcasts from Tower Hill on Casper Mountain (above Bear Trap Meadow).

We are on RF Ch. 12 VHF but will show up on your TV as 13.1 or 13-1, NBC programming is in HD, 13.2 or 13-2 is a Standard Definition version of the same programming.  13-2 will look better on a converter box and older 4:3 aspect ratio TV sets.

I recommend an outdoor antenna to receive our signal. Rabbit ears do not receive a strong enough signal to work reliably. If you try your rabbit ears, lay the ears down as flat as they will go and push in to about half way.

If you need to purchase an antenna, I recommend:

www.antennasdirect.com.

Some antennas in local stores are UHF only and will not work for KCWY.

The antenna I recommend is the "clearstream-5", it is a High VHF optimized antenna.  I have done testing with this and found it works well for the UHF stations in the area as well.  I recommend this antenna as it performs better than the traditional Omni-directional antenna's, but due to it's small size it does not suffer from the effects of snow and wind.

With an outdoor antenna, you can split the signal and feed to multipl TV's in your home.  If you need to split to more than two TV's, I do recommend a powered splitter to compensate for the signal loss created by splitting.

KCWY Riverton WY

We Broadcast over the Riverton Area on RF channel 28, it will also show up as 13.1 or 13-1 on your digital tuner.  This is digital and NBC programming is in HD.

I still recommend a outdoor antenna to receive our signal but a UHF style antenna is necessary for the Riverton area.

KCHY Cheyenne Wyoming:

We broadcasts as a Low Power Analog translator in the Cheyenne Wyoming area on 13 analog.  The transmitter is east of town on Del Range Blvd.

You will need an analog tuner to receive this signal.  New TV's have both style of tuners and will find the channel when you scan for signals with your antenna.

If you are using a converter box, there are many tutorials on how to connect these on the web.

At this time we do not have plans to upgrade to digital/HD.

K14LK Laramie Wyoming

We broadcast as a Low Power Analog translator in Laramie on 14 Analog. This translator is on Pilot Hill east of Laramie.

You will need an analog tuner to receive this signal.  New TV's have both style of tuners and will find the channel when you scan for signals with your antenna.
