Allie Carnett

Allie Carnett joined the KCWY news team in late June of 2011.  She was born and raised in San Diego, but moved to the Cowboy State after graduating from California State University Northridge with a degree in journalism.  She was an anchor, reporter, and producer for Valley View News, her campus television station.  Allie also interned for Dateline NBC in Los Angeles.  Before entering the news industry, she worked as a small animal veterinary technician for four years.

In her free time, Allie enjoys hiking, wakeboarding, reading, painting and sketching, and drinking coffee.  Her favorite pastime is horseback riding, and she grew up competitively doing reining and barrel racing.  She is excited to leave the madness of the big city and see all that Wyoming has to offer.
