An approaching low pressure system will end the relatively quiet weather, and return chances for showers and thunderstorms today. The best chances for showers and thunderstorms will come across the western and central portions of the state. Strong storms, capable of producing gusty winds and small hail, will be possible this afternoon and evening across mainly the north and central. Showers and thunderstorms will generally diminish late this evening, but could linger across the northwest overnight tonight. Southerly flow will return normal to slightly above normal high temperatures today. An upper level low pressure system could then return chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms tomorrow, mainly across the north and east.
